Art portfolio: a journey of faith and creation
Welcome to a collection of artwork inspired by faith, creation, and the beauty of God's presence in everyday life. Each painting begins as a journey of encounter, as I spend time with God and allow him to guide the creative process. As the image unfolds on the canvas, I am continually reminded of his faithfulness, love, and presence. My hope is that every piece reflects something of God's heart and invites others to pause and experience his peace.
The hands of the potter
Some of my favourite paintings have emerged through times of prophetic art, where the creative process has become an opportunity to listen, reflect, and respond to God. These pieces hold a special place in my heart because they speak not only through the finished artwork but also through the journey of creating them. The Hands of the Potter is one such painting, inspired by God's gentle and loving work of shaping our lives. It is a reminder that we are continually being moulded by the hands of a Creator who knows us intimately and never gives up on us.

The Ancient Tree never fails to remind me how small I am in comparison to the majesty of God's creation. Standing before such strength, age, and beauty fills me with awe and points me to the greatness of the Creator, whose glory is reflected throughout the natural world.

I also treasure my abstract painting of Mary Anointing the Feet of Jesus. For me, painting is not simply about creating an attractive image—it's about listening, responding, and allowing the creative process itself to become an act of worship. This piece, like many others, emerged through prophetic art, where I allowed God to guide the journey rather than starting with a fixed outcome in mind.

As each piece develops, I often discover new insights about God's character, his creation, and his love. Every painting tells a story, not only through the finished artwork but through the encounter with God that inspired it.
My work also brings together my calling as both an artist and a Baptist Minister. This means my paintings are often accompanied by reflections, talks, or retreats that invite others to engage with the deeper message behind the image. I want people to experience more than just art—I want them to discover hope, ask questions, find peace, and perhaps encounter God for themselves. I believe creativity is for everyone, not just artists.
The inspiration behind the brushstrokes
My journey as an artist has been a long and deeply personal one. From a young age, I loved being creative and found great joy in drawing, painting, and making things. However, as I grew up, I was often made to feel that I wasn't good enough. Those words stayed with me for many years and caused me to doubt my abilities, holding me back from fully embracing the creativity that had always been part of who I am.
Over time, I have come to realise that those messages were simply not true. I have discovered that creativity isn't about being perfect or comparing ourselves with others—it's about expressing who we are and using the gifts God has given us. As a self-taught artist, I am still learning with every painting I create, and I now see that growth comes through having the courage to keep creating. Perhaps that is why I have such a passion for encouraging others who believe they are "not good enough" or "not creative." I know what it feels like to doubt yourself, and I also know the freedom that comes from embracing your unique creative spirit.
